I like to use the number pad keys for bindings in games and various applications, I use them mainly from game controllers, rebindable footswitches, midi controls and my many buttoned mouse. I also like to use a tenkeyless keyboard for ergonomics reasons and as such have no physical number pad. So what’s the solution? You may think Windows’ built in software keyboard but no that outputs the keys from the number row (even on its number pad) and the number pad has different key codes. The actual solution was for me to write a nice little GUI in AutoIt mimicking the number pad and for others in a similar situation it is available below.
